p>Brandon was born in Nebraska, however moved to Utah to attend BYU to study Biochemistry. After serving an LDS mission to Seoul, Korea, he changed his major to his passion English. During his undergraduate studies, Brandon wrote 7 novels and received many rejections. David Farland, one of his instructors urged him to attend writing conferences, where he met his agent.
